Wenn ich in ein fremdes Land aufbreche, meide ich touristische Orte, Märchenstrände, exotische Märkte und das koloniale Erbe in alten Kirchen. Für mich am wichtigsten ist der vielfältige Kontakt mit Einheimischen, die wir begleiten, um dabei in ihr Land einzutauchen. Und die uns davon berichten, was sie bewegt und welche Träume sie von ihrer Zukunft haben.
When venturing into a foreign country I avoid tourist attractions, dream
beaches, exotic markets and the colonial inheritance of old churches.
Uppermost for me is the variety of contact with locals who we accompany
in order to dip into their country and their ways. They tell us what
moves them, what dreams they have for their future.
